Circumcision is the surgical removal of the foreskin (the loose tissue) covering the glans of the penis. Parents may wish to have their newborn baby boy circumcised for religious, social or cultural reasons.

Dr Sundaresan MBBS, DFFP, MRCGP  performs circumcisions on male infants using a local anaesthetic which provides safe and effective pain-relief.  Dr Sundaresan circumcises  babies under 6 months old  and he is the  authorised  provider  for  the  Heywood, Middledon and Rochdale PCT.

He employs the Plastibell technique which has significant advantages over other methods of circumcision. It results in a neat and perfectly circular circumcision.
